Creative Director responsible for the creative team and executing marketing and product creative. In 2014 I took on a creative revamp of the Sittercity brand and a new product design. This included brand positional and brand direction. New look and feel for the product as well as a new voice for the company.

As one of the three leads of the creative arms of Constant  Contact my duties primarily consist of managing and running the design and front-end development arm for web properties and creative service team.  This web team includes four designers, seven front-end developers and two writers. The creative service team consist of two strategic project managers, four designers, three writers and one trafficker.  Our work ranges from radical design concepts and brand pushes into new areas for Constant Contact to testing UX experiences that improve trial and “buy now” conversion. Since my arrival I have been encouraging my team to continually evolve the brand and drive the company with world class design and UX standards.

  • Winner of the ____ award for Social Bridges project

  • Continually updating and improving homepage experience

  • Improved product level pages which have increased lift in trials by 22 percent

  • Tested into a new sign up form (not live yet) that has shown signs of trial lift by 25 percent

  • Produced 15 high-end videos

  • Created a highly effective microsite to push leads from PPC campaigns

  • Designed and built 2 acquisition announcement web properties

  • Directed the UX studies for a new Learning Center 

  • Ran an eye-tracking study which lead to the design of new product pages which produced a 22 percent lift in trials

Creative Director at BobVila.com
September 2000–February 2010

As part of the incubation process at Viant I transitioned to BobVila.com as a founding partner and Creative Director in 2000. My role at BobVila.com has been to manage and grow the Vila online presence and to guide the company through emerging technologies and media.  I was the primary advocate in reviving user generated content (UGC) on BobVila.com, which is now responsible for the majority of traffic. This has increased unique visitors from 93K per month to over 2 million per month.  

Global responsibilities include:

Online brand direction, conceptual design, new site features, information architecture (IA), skeleton/wireframing, user interface (UI), user experience (UX), front-end production & project lead for development regarding new and updated features to BobVila.com.
